Wines from a more eastern tributary of the Columbia River are being featured at Prosser’s Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center this month.
Walla Walla Valley wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc will be offered in the center’s tasting room throughout July, a news release said. The valley’s wines are unique thanks to a long growing season, climate and wind-deposited soils.
The center’s tasting room is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. There is a $5 tasting fee. Visitors on Friday and weekends can also pay $15 to try three premium-priced wines.
The center is at 2140 Wine Country Road in Prosser.
