The Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center donors and supporters will be honored during a private Appreciation Reception at 6 p.m. July 8, at the center, 2140 Wine Country Road.
All contributors, large and small, are welcome to enjoy the facility with wine and appetizers.
The center has been open since May 30, 2014. At this year’s reception, donors will be updated on the center’s progress and activities, and raise a toast in honor of Dr. Clore’s birthday, which was July 1.
The center is celebrating two key activities, including a life size bronze sculpture of Dr. Clore, created by Malcom Phinney of Phinney Gallery in Joseph, Ore. The statue is currently being forged and will be installed on the grounds this fall.
The center’s staff is also making plans to install educational exhibits, designed by BPI, Inc. later this year. The exhibits are key to the experience the center provides, and will showcase the people, the place and the history that have shaped the region and its agricultural bounty. #The staff looks forward to announcing dates for the unveiling of both of these projects soon.
The Clore Center Tasting Room is open daily 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
